Oxford
I wonder anybody does anything at Oxford but dream and remember, the place is so beautiful. One almost expects the people to sing instead of speaking. It is all like an opera.
— William Butler Yeats

Oxford, Oxfordshire, UK is home to the oldest university in the English-speaking World: the University of Oxford. The entire Aztek empire developed, thrived and ended since Oxford opened it's doors!

All said and done, I'm here for two purposes.

First, I want to venerate "The Bird & The Baby" - The Eagle and the Child Pub - where the "Inklings" literary society met in the 1930s and 40s. That group included CS "Jack" Lewis, JRR Tolkien and his son Christopher, Owen Barfield and Charles Williams. It was in this pub that JRR Tolkien worked out the broad strokes of the Lord of the Rings and CS Lewis bounced around what would become Mere Christianity and The Great Divorce. I simply can't begin to describe the importance of these authors and their contemporary GK Chesterton have had on me intellectually and spiritually.

Second, I'm here to see the sights of the life of Bl. John Henry Newman.
